Laura & Mark's Wedding at Milton Hill House, Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Laura & Mark's wedding day, all restrictions lifted, let the celebrations begin. Saturday 24th July my first wedding without any covid related restrictions ....Yes, Yes, Yes, Let the party begin.

Weddings, for me, is all about capturing and telling the story of the day that may be those stolen kisses between loved ones, funny moments, dancing, laughter, tears of joy.

Saving your yesterday for your tomorrow. I joined Laura and her and sisters and Laura's daughter Evie in the morning at the stunning Milton Hill House. Bridal prep was in full swing when I arrived, and everyone was in high spirits.

I was thrilled when Laura told me that Mark and their 2 little boys Ethan & Zachary, also stayed the night at the venue. This allowed me to capture the boys getting ready this giving the whole story of their day.

The ceremony room looked stunning at Milton Hill House. All the guests were seated, and the groom waiting in anticipation for his first glimpse of his beautiful bride Laura.

Proud parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, children, & friends all looked on as Laura & Mark tied the knot and said, " I Do"

The speeches were nothing short of epic! Laura's Dad re-telling how he lifted half a tonne, or was it 10 tonnes actually, I think it was 15 tonnes of rubble off the poor window fitter a few days earlier at the family home. One of those fisherman stories where the fish get bigger with every telling.

Joking aside, fair play Mark (Laura's Dad), for doing what you did, I hope the window fitter makes a full recovery.

Everyone is now sat and enjoying the wedding breakfast, tucking into deserts, mine was a cheesecake, very yummy it was too. This wedding photographer is going to need to go on a diet at this rate.

Waiters doing a grand job of keeping guests topped up with drinks and clearing tables until one of the waiters takes a tumble and is laid flat out on the floor with cutlery everywhere. It wasn't long before guests were out of their chairs to see him and make sure he was okay.

Meanwhile, I'm taking pictures of the poor waiter laid out, and Laura is laughing her head off. What the guests must have thought of me taking pictures and Laura laughing.

The waiter finally gets to his feet with a microphone in hand. He breaks out into a complete list of party songs, and with the help of another singing waiter between the two of them, they had the place rocking.

The evening was fast approaching, and the singing waiter now turned DJ, announced the cutting of the cake followed by the first dance!

Everyone was in high spirits, the dance floor filled with guests throwing shapes and letting their hair down, celebrating with the happy couple!

Congratulations, Laura & Mark. I hope you have the best life together!
