How much will my wedding photography cost?

I like to keep things really simple, so I have two wedding photography packages. These are priced between £1,175 and £1,525 including VAT. This provides full day coverage from bridal preparation to the first dance.

If you are planning a shorter day, please contact me for pricing.

What sort of wedding photography packages are available?

Two options, one with and one without album. You can find more details on these on my pricing page.

How many photos do I get?

You will receive approximately 500+, high-quality images. Each image is personally selected and edited by me. The editing takes into account colour, exposure, cropping, and sharpness to produce high-quality images.

Is it ok for guests to take photos while you do?

Of course, it’s your wedding, and your guests are going to want a quick snap. All that I ask is that during the ceremony and the procession out of the church, that your guests don’t step out into the aisle. There’s nothing worse than having Uncle Steve and his huge iPad blocking your route out of the church.

When do I pay for my wedding photography?

A deposit of £250.00 is required to confirm the date and booking, with the balance payable 14 days before your wedding.

What happens if I change the date for my weddings?

If you have to change the date for your wedding, I will make every attempt to accommodate the new date subject to availability. But please be aware that many of my wedding bookings are booked 12 - 24 months in advance.

What happens if my wedding has to be cancelled?

  • If the cancellation is less than 12 months but more than 6 months, I will make every attempt to rebook the date. If the date cannot be rebooked, then the deposit is non-refundable.
  • If the cancellation is less than 6 months, then the deposit is non-refundable as most people will have booked their photographer by then.

When do I receive my photos?

  • I know how excited you will be to receive your wedding photos. I try to turn around your photos as quickly as possible.

  • I take a lot of pride in ensuring your photos have the right feel for your day, and every single one of your photos is individually edited by me. You receive a 1st look (a selection of 4-8 highlights of your day) within a couple of days of your wedding so that you can share these with your family and friends.

  • You will receive the full collection within 6 weeks of your wedding. It can be slightly longer if there are any unforeseen circumstances or if I'm really busy.

Can I order prints or canvas of my photos?

  • Absolutely. When you receive the link to your online collection, you have the option to order prints, canvas or frames of your favourite photos. You can select individual or multiple images for print, canvas or framed in a range of sizes and finishes.

  • Alternatively, you can download the print files and print them yourself. I recommend that you use a professional photographic printer.

  • There is nothing like the physical object in your home to remind you of your special day. Printed images also make beautiful gifts for family and friends who have supported you in your journey together.

What about an album?

You can select the Essentials Plus package, this includes an album.

How do I receive my photos?

You receive your photos via a private online collection so they can be viewed and downloaded. You are most welcome to share your online collection with family and friends.

What will the photographer wear on the day?

It’s jeans and a t-shirt at home, but on your special day, I will be dressed smartly in keeping with the style of the wedding.

Will you bring another photographer?

I shoot over 90% of my weddings solo. We can discuss whether a second photographer would benefit you, especially if you have a large wedding or would like certain events covered that I would not typically photograph. I will quote for a second photographer to be included in the package. The second photographer is always an appropriately skilled photographer that I have worked in the past.

Will we receive the raw files?

Sorry no. The RAW files are only used for editing. You will be supplied with high-quality jpeg files that can be used on just about every kind of device, be that laptop, mobile phone, smartTV’s and desktop computers.

Do we get copies of all our photos in Black and White as well as colour?

You will get a selection of both colour and black and white photos. Some photos are just much better suited to black and white, and some are better in colour. Generally, you will get anywhere between 20- 35% of your images in black and white, but if you have a preference either way, please let me know.

Are we able to print and share our photos on social media?

Absolutely you can! You obtain rights to use your photos for any personal use. You can print them, make your own albums and of course share with all your friends and family. I ask you do not apply any additional filters, and of course, any credit when sharing on social media is much appreciated.

Can you help with other suppliers?

Yes, There are a number of makeup artists, hairdressers, cake makers and venues that I worked with on several occasions. Here are a few to help with the planning of your special day;

Lottie's Bakeaway I have to admit I'm a little partial to a slice of wedding cake or two, especially when they come from Lottie's Bakerway. Sooooooo good.

Tangled Hair - Grace is a fantastic hairstylist (yes even bald blokes know a thing about hair), with over 10 years of experience, she knows a thing or two about weddings.

Oxford Event Hire - From dance floors to coat racks, these guys provide just about everything you need (just add a special couple, family, and friends)to create the perfect wedding.

Utopia Moblie Disco - These local Oxfordshire guys have been thumping out great tunes for over 20 years. You are almost guaranteed to fill out your dance floor all night long.

Do you offer video service for our wedding?

At the moment I do not, I like to focus (apologies for the awful pun) on the photography side. I am happy to put you in touch with some videographers if you require.

What if the weather is bad?

No matter the weather, I am happy to go out and embrace the elements with you. Rain, wind, snow, moody skies - some of these can make for some of the best images. I understand that not everyone wants to go out in all conditions. I will start watching the weather about a few days before your special day and be in touch if the weather is looking awful. There’s always an umbrella or two in the boot of the car.

How do we book you?

You can call, email me or visit my contact page and send me a message. There are a few details that I will need, like the all-important date. I will then be in touch to confirm availability and make a time to catch up.

It’s essential for you as a couple and me as your photographer to make sure that we are a good fit for each other. Out of everybody connected with your wedding day, we are going to spend the most time together (crazy I know). I want you to be comfortable and natural with me, that’s when the magic happens.

Once you are confident I am the right photographer for your special day, you will need to sign the contract and pay the deposit to secure your date.

You are based in Oxfordshire, do you travel in the UK and overseas?

Absolutely, I’m happy to travel within the UK and overseas if needed. On top of the package pricing, there will be associated travels costs (trave; costs are free within 100 miles of Abingdon). How much depends on where your wedding is and the cost of getting there. I will keep my travel cost as low as possible.

What’s your style?

My style is documentary wedding photography (also called, reportage wedding photography). What does that mean? For the most part, I'll be unobtrusive, capturing candid moments as the day unfolds. Photographing those spontaneous laughs, joyful tears, and stolen kisses. Your photos are going to be uniquely yours, not a carbon copy of previous weddings

We’re not very good a posing at all, will we be doing anything like that?

As a photographer, it’s my job to make your images look natural – not stiff, not awkward and definitely not staged. Also, when shooting in a documentary style, there are not too many posed images, making for a more relaxing day.

Can we speak to other couples that you have photographed and read any testimonials?

I get a little embarrassed by the wonderfully kind words that couples have shared on my skills as a wedding photographer. You can read of few of them here on the web site. I’m also happy to provide you with contact details of couples that have agreed to be contacted for a reference.

Do you bring your own food, or do you join us for dinner?

It’s going to be a long day, I will bring a supply of snacks and water to keep me going. It’s entirely up to you whether you want to provide me with a meal. I’ll never turn down a good feed. Most of the time, during the main meal, I will be tucked away at the back of the room. Nobody likes having their photo taken with a fork full of food in their mouth.

Do you do group shots?

Yes, absolutely, if you do want group photographs, I recommend a small number, three to five, as even these can can take 15-20 minutes to arrange and shoot. My recommendation is that you advise your best man the groups that you want and he can get the guests together with some gentle persuasion.

What preparations do you make before our wedding?

About a month before the wedding I will send you a questionnaire to complete. The questionnaire covers the final details such as time, and formal images, names of wedding party etc.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured. I have professional indemnity insurance along with public liability insurance. Many wedding venues will insist that all your suppliers have appropriate insurance, so I encourage you to make sure that every photographer you speak to also has full coverage.

Do you have a back up camera?

Yes, I always shot a wedding with at least two cameras. I recharge all the batteries the day before your wedding, and I make sure I have multiple freshly formatted SD cards to capture all the beautiful moments of your wedding.

What Information Do You Need from Us Before the Wedding Day?

Most of this will be covered off in the questionnaire and also the pre-wedding get-together. But details like the exact time and place of your ceremony and reception; where you’re getting ready and what time you’re leaving on the morning; when the speeches and cake cutting will be; what time the first dance is.
